A little about the club...
Who are we?
We were established in September 1992 and have grown to a strong membership with well over 200 chevs in total. We are a family orientated social club, with the focus being our cars and the Chev brand! The Chev Performance Association promotes a healthy appreciation of the Chevrolet brand, whether from the 20’s, or the current models sold today!
What do we do?
Our members enjoy a monthly newsletter which incorporates upcoming events, technical information, classifieds, club merchandise, as well as promoting our sponsors.
We hold club events/cruises most months of the year which include cruises, observation runs, annual dinners, hangi’s, Christmas functions, to name just a few.
Super Chevy Sunday!
Our very own car show SUPER CHEVY SUNDAY began in 1994 and has shown South Australia and the nation that Adelaide has a strong Chevrolet following with a record breaking 202 Chevrolet’s on display at the 20th anniversary show in 2013.
This event is always held on the 1st Sunday in February in metropolitan Adelaide.
We have a great line up of sponsors, trade stands, and music, as well as food vendors, raffles, prizes, Chevy merchandise, and of course trophies throughout the day. The day was designed for Chevy enthusiasts and fans alike (or anyone who appreciated a nice ride!) to gather all Chevrolet's together in the one spot. Not just for the show cars, we love to see daily drivers, unrestored, and even partly restored Chevys. Even bring them along on a trailer if they’re not yet on the road if you like!! The more the merrier!!
Club Registration
The club offers the new "CLUB REGISTRATION" introduced from July 2017. This scheme still uses the same 90 day log book system previously available, but now all Chevrolets are eligible regardless of modifications, or whether its LHD or RHD. As long as your Chevy conforms to roadworthy standards, or has passed a roadworthy inspection, and/or has engineers reports, LHD or Street Rod exemptions you are now eligible to access "Club Rego". We will still need to do a simple visual inspection or sight a range of photos of your Chevy and make sure all your paperwork is correct. This is a great alterative and more economical than full registration for those who do not drive their Chevys' every day!
Please talk to our registration officers for further advice. You need to join up as a member first before you can access "CLUB REGO". We also encourage members on CLUB REGISTRATION (as well as all members) to be involved and support the club that supports you. Please find more information under the Member Info tab, and the Links tab.
Membership
Monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Austin 7 Clubrooms, 262 Tapleys Hill Road, Seaton, starting at 7.30pm. Visitors are very welcome! Membership forms available under the Member Info tab on this website.
